About the Instructor

Hello, my name is Patrick Joyce.  I retired from a career as Safety and Training Coordinator for the City of Fort Lauderdale, Public Works Department.  I was a manager in the Safety and Training section for over 20 years.  My involvement in research and development of policies, programs, and training courses included those in driving behavior, vehicle safety, CPR and first aid, protective equipment, confined space entry, excavation and trenching safety, heavy equipment operation, emergency planning, and liability reduction.  I have personally experienced severe "accidental" injuries, and have devoted my life to the belief that "accidents" can be prevented.
